| The two-day conference on "Packaging Design, Innovation and Technology" (PDIT) will address the packaging development cycle and the workflow across the supply chain with focus on the Industry 4.0 concept. Presentations will also be made on the latest technologies in sustainable packaging materials, printing and converting. There will also be a special panel discussion on streamlining and eliminating waste in the food supply chain, improving food sorting, processing and logistics. |

| Together against food waste and loss:SAVE FOOD. |
The SAVE FOOD initiative, a joint project of Messe Dusseldorf and the United Nations Food and Agriculture Organisation (FAO), aims to drive innovations, promote interdisciplinary dialogue and spark debates in order to generate solutions. SAVE FOOD will be part of packtech and food pex India to share information with the public about food waste corresponding solutions, including how to extend the shelf life of food and prevent spoilage and damage during transportation.
Mr. Werner Dornscheidt, President and CEO of Messe Dusseldorf and one of key founders and proponents of the Save Food movement initiated at Interpack, will render a key note address on Save Food.
